날씨 탓인지 뭐 신경도 쓰기 싫어서 잡담이나 합시다

내가 델파이를 처음 들어 본것은
1994년인지 1995년인지 하여간 윈도즈 95 나오기 몇달 전이었읍니다

그 당시에는 전산직이 아니었지만
한때 그 계통에서 일햇기 때문에 전산직원들하고 친하게 지내고
같이 어울렷는데

하루는 이번에 프로그램 개발 할 것이 잇어서 델파이를 구입햇다고 합니다
그게 뭐냐고 물으니까 파스칼인데 윈도즈에서 돌아가고 메뉴를 자동으로 만들어 준다고 햇읍니다

그 후로 델파이라는 것이 잇는지도 기억 안나게 상관없이 지냈는데
약 3년전에 다시 델파이에 관해서 들어 보게 되었읍니다

It's written in Pascal, and since my software is written in Pascal as well,
I offered Thomas Wolf a partnership - I would give him a sum, like 5,000
USD, and I would in return get the right to use his sourcecode to GoTools
AND I would improve that sourcecode and return it to him, and he would get
the right to use the improved GoTools sourcecode.

I thought that would be a good thing for me, and him, and the Go community
at large.
Because in my two dozen or so emails with him, I inquired about speedup
techniques used and I got the impression it was improvable by a factor ten
at least.

But he told me that Anders Kierulf had bought the rights to GoTools for a
six-figure amount.
And since then, the GoTools DLL disappeared off the Internet and Thomas
doesn't make it available any more.

Thomas said that he would consider selling sourcecode licence to me for half
a million US dollars, or perhaps even just a few hundred thousand dollars.

그 당시에 저는 파스칼은 죽었다고 알고 잇엇는데
파스칼로 짰다고 해서 이상해서 물어보니까
정확히는  자기 것은 델파이로 짯고
파스칼은 아무래도 한계가 있어서
파스칼로 코딩이 잘안되거나 속도가 느린 부분은 어셈블러로 짜서 연결시켰다고 햇읍니다

그래서 저 아래쪽에서
어셈블러 사용하냐고 물엇던겁니다
